The Tsyrkuny community in the Kharkiv region suffered severe destruction as a result of Russia’s invasion and temporary occupation in February 2022. Although the area was liberated in May, local settlements remain under constant threat of shelling.

The consequences of the conflict have been tragic: more than 50 people were killed, around 60 injured, and over 9,000 residents were forced to leave their homes. Many critical infrastructure facilities, buildings, and residential houses were destroyed — particularly in the village of Ruski Tyshky, where more than 80% of residential and essential facilities were damaged.

At the request of the local administration, the Power in UA Foundation implemented a project to install a filtration station to provide residents with access to safe drinking water. This step has become crucial for restoring stability and improving living conditions in the affected region.

The project was carried out with the support of our partner HelpingUkraine.us, with whom the foundation has successfully cooperated in humanitarian initiatives.
